BID Equity acquires German CAD provider Megatech Software
Oldenburg-based CAD manufacturer Megatech Software GmbH became part of the BID Equity Fund II portfolio in April 2023.
Megatech offers its customers professional and versatile Computer Aided Design software (CAD), which is characterized in particular by its ease of use and complex visualization. The core product, MegaCAD, serves as the foundation for a wide range of industry applications, for example in the fields of mechanical engineering, metal and steel construction, building services, carpentry and sheet metal processing.
In addition to the classic 2D version, MegaCAD is also available as a modern 3D version and can be supplemented with a wide range of functionalities such as metalworking, kinematics, building design or even wood construction specifics.
Almost 30 employees at the Oldenburg, Hamburg and Düsseldorf locations support more than 2,200 customers from a wide range of industries. In addition, a broad partner network distributes Megatech solutions internationally, particularly in France, Italy, Slovenia, Poland and Switzerland.
