BID Equity exits eSight Group, a leading software provider for enterprise energy management

eSight, 02 Nov 2021

Following a successful period of organic growth, product upgrades and strengthening its international sales capabilities, BID Equity Investment I ("BID Equity") sells its enterprise energy management platform eSight Group Ltd. ("eSight") to MRI Software Limited ("MRI").

The acquisition enables MRI to offer its global real estate software customer base the modern energy management software solution eSight® and thus to reduce energy costs by up to 30%.

eSight is a global energy management software specialist and was founded in Cambridge / UK in 1998. Since the acquisition by BID Equity in 2018, the company has invested significantly in a modular product and modern cloud architecture and has also optimized its marketing and sales processes. In addition, the firm placed significant emphasis on the further professionalization of its core processes. This enabled eSight to win new enterprise clients and to successfully implement large projects.

MRI Software is a leading provider of software for real estate management globally. MRI is the perfect eSight partner to accelerate international growth, open up new customer segments and become part of a very powerful technology platform for the real estate sector. eSight CEO Janie Jefferies-Freer: “eSight has developed extremely well in recent years and is now a leading platform for sophisticated energy management. BID Equity played a key role in our development and we are delighted to win MRI Software as a strategic investor to accelerate our growth even further”.
