omneva Group acquired majority shares both in CareCenter Software GmbH and Rair Bürotechnik GmbH and strengthens its position as software provider in the social care sector

myneva, 07 Feb 2019

omneva Group acquired majority stakes both in CareCenter, the leading Austrian software provider, and Rair, a specialist for elderly care software. The group hereby significantly extends its customer base and its local market footprint in Austria as well as southern and eastern Germany. Both transactions were closed in Q4 2018.

CareCenter, with more than 25 years of experience and more than 400 customers, is the market leader for software in the social care sector in Austria. The company provides an innovative and comprehensive solution for administration, invoicing, therapy, medicine, and care documentation. CareCenter is specialised on in- and outpatient elderly care, disabled care and youth care. As a result of various innovation projects, such as the automatic transfer of vital parameters (telemedicine), the automatic integration of sensor data and the fully integrated ELGA-integration, CareCenter is not only the Austrian market but also innovation leader. Together with omneva Group, CareCenter will continue to build upon this position. The CareCenter management maintains a significant shareholding in the company.

Rair has been a strategic partner for almost 30 years in southern and eastern Germany for the Heimbas GmbH, which is part of omneva Group since 2017. By adding Rair to the group, omneva expands its know-how in the German elderly care sector and strengthens its consultancy and service competences.

With these transactions, the BID Equity and LFPI backed omneva Group follows its strategy to grow to a leading software provider in the European social care market, covering all social care needs. The group combines the competences of long-standing experts in order to support a lively and human interaction between caretakers and caregivers. As of today more than 90.000 people work with the group’s software solutions daily.
