BID Equity acquires Kobold, a leading software provider for architects and engineering firms
BID Equity Fund II acquires Kobold Management Systeme GmbH based in Wuppertal, an established software provider for industry-specific project controlling software for architects and engineers.
Over the last 20 years Kobold has become one of the leading firms to develop project controlling, project management and office management software for architects and engineers. The product „Kobold Control“ helps its 2,500 customers to administer their projects, record time, calculate budgets, control liquidity, calculate fees according to the HOAI standard, and to plan their ressources. The solution enables improved project transparency, shortened process flows, and a reduction of time required for project management.
Kobold is the cornerstone investment for a new software group building a bridge between administrative and technical processes in the construction industry. The group will further invest in a modern product portfolio for developers, architects, engineers, and construction companies to fast-track the digitization of building processes. Kobold CEO Roberto Ronis emphasizes: " We are very pleased to find such a software investor that shares out vision of a digitized and connected construction industry - and has both the expertise and resources to help us make it happen."
